The Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School (AMSA) in Marlborough, Massachusetts, has taken a significant step in expanding its educational facilities with the opening of a new academic building. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held to celebrate the completion of the 17,000-square-foot facility, which will serve as a dedicated space for classrooms and science labs, benefiting nearly 1,000 students in grades 6–12.

The new facility was designed in collaboration with Finegold Alexander Architects, a firm known for its expertise in educational spaces. The building is part of AMSA’s ongoing efforts to enhance its rigorous academic environment and provide students with modern resources for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

“We are thrilled to see the completion of the new Academic Building. It has been a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the leadership at AMSA to expand the school’s academic footprint,” said Regan Shields Ives, Finegold Alexander Principal and K-12 studio leader.

AMSA, which operates out of three buildings repurposed from a former office park, worked closely with architects to ensure the new structure aligns with the school’s high academic standards.
