Chiefs Partner with Burns & McDonnell in Multi-Year Jersey Patch Deal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs and Burns & McDonnell have announced a multi-year partnership that strengthens the bond between two Kansas City powerhouses: one on the football field and one in engineering and construction.

The agreement, revealed Monday at the team’s practice fields, officially makes Burns & McDonnell the “Official Engineering & Construction Partner of the Kansas City Chiefs” and grants the company sponsorship rights to the team’s practice jersey patch, one of the NFL’s most valuable brand assets.
“We are very excited and proud to announce this comprehensive and unique partnership with the great team at Burns & McDonnell,” said Chiefs President Mark Donovan. “As an employee-owned, Kansas City company, Burns & McDonnell has a long history and deep connection to Chiefs Kingdom and the people of Kansas City, while their footprint and work span the globe. Our team thrives on building programs that drive true value to our partners locally, regionally, nationally, and beyond, and we look forward to being on this journey with them.”
Expanding Visibility On and Off the Field

Beyond the highly visible jersey patch program, the partnership provides Burns & McDonnell with additional brand exposure across the Chiefs’ platforms. This includes logo placements on press conference podiums, microphone flags, fencing around the practice fields at The University of Kansas Health System Training Complex, and even in the player entrance tunnel at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
“Now is the perfect time for two Kansas City champions – one on the field, one in engineering and construction – to join forces and show the world what we can achieve together,” said Leslie Duke, Chair and CEO of Burns & McDonnell. “Our partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs is about more than football or construction – it is about pride, progress and building the future of Kansas City.”
More Than a Sponsorship
The partnership extends beyond marketing and branding opportunities. Burns & McDonnell will also receive a robust hospitality package, giving the company new ways to engage with clients, partners, and employees at Chiefs events.
This strategic collaboration is expected to boost the firm’s national visibility, strengthen recruitment and talent attraction, and expand its community impact. For the Chiefs, the partnership reinforces their connection to a Kansas City-based, employee-owned company with a shared vision of innovation and growth.
Together, the Chiefs and Burns & McDonnell aim to highlight the power of local partnerships that resonate globally while continuing to invest in the Kansas City community.
