The updates focus on Form WH-347, the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts Weekly Certified Payroll Form, which is used to report weekly payroll data on federally funded or assisted construction projects. The new tools are designed to simplify reporting, reduce errors and improve overall compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
Among the updates is a fillable, online version of Form WH-347, allowing contractors and subcontractors to directly enter required payroll information. The agency said the digital format is intended to streamline weekly submissions and minimize common reporting mistakes. In addition, the Wage and Hour Division has released an annotated version of the form, providing visual, step-by-step guidance to help users better understand how each section should be completed.
“The Wage and Hour Division wants to help construction contractors and subcontractors succeed and comply with DBRA requirements,” said Wage and Hour Division Administrator Andrew Rogers. “We encourage all government contractors to review and begin utilizing these new tools. They are designed to improve accuracy, reduce administrative burden, and promote consistent reporting practices across DBRA-covered projects.”
Both the fillable and annotated versions of Form WH-347 are available immediately on the Department of Labor’s website.

The Department of Labor’s latest update reflects ongoing efforts to improve compliance and transparency on government-funded construction projects. Under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, contractors and subcontractors must pay workers no less than locally prevailing wages and submit certified weekly payroll reports to demonstrate compliance.
Payroll reporting errors have long been a challenge for contractors, particularly smaller firms and subcontractors that manage multiple projects with varying wage determinations. The new digital Form WH-347 is intended to address those challenges by allowing users to enter required information directly into the form, reducing handwritten errors and incomplete submissions.
The annotated version of Form WH-347 is designed as an educational resource not only for contractors and subcontractors, but also for consultants, labor unions and compliance professionals. By visually explaining each section of the form, the Wage and Hour Division aims to promote more consistent reporting across DBRA-covered projects and reduce delays caused by incorrect filings.
In addition to the new payroll tools, the agency continues to offer compliance assistance through its toll-free helpline at 866-4US-WAGE (487-9243), as well as a government contracts compliance assistance toolkit that outlines employer responsibilities under federal labor laws.
The Wage and Hour Division also provides resources for workers, including a searchable database to check for back wages collected by the agency and a free timesheet app for iOS and Android devices to help track hours worked and pay earned.
By expanding access to user-friendly reporting tools and compliance assistance, the Department of Labor aims to strengthen enforcement of prevailing wage protections while reducing administrative burdens for contractors working on federal and federally assisted construction projects.
