The hires reflect Michuda’s focus on strengthening internal leadership, expanding project management capacity and supporting continued regional growth in commercial construction.

Strengthening Technology and Project Management

Lexi Aguirre has joined the company as Director of IT, a newly created role designed to enhance the firm’s technology infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities. Aguirre holds a degree in cybersecurity and previously worked at ARCO/Murray.

In her new position, Aguirre will oversee IT systems, data security and digital innovation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency across job sites and administrative operations. As construction firms increasingly rely on cloud-based project management platforms, cybersecurity protections and real-time field communication tools, the Director of IT role signals Michuda’s investment in long-term operational resilience.

Carter Doorn has been hired as a Project Engineer after previously completing an internship with the company. Doorn earned his degree in Construction Management from Purdue University and returned to Michuda full time following graduation.

As a Project Engineer, Doorn will support scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination and on-site execution — critical functions as the company continues to manage multiple commercial projects throughout the region.

Continued Investment in Workforce Development

Adam Labuda has also returned to Michuda to continue in an internship and co-op role. Labuda is currently pursuing his degree at Marquette University. His return highlights Michuda’s commitment to developing future industry professionals through hands-on training and academic partnerships.

In addition to these hires, the company announced it is actively recruiting for a Northeast Indiana Superintendent to oversee projects in the Michiana area. Leadership expects to have the position filled by April 1.

The superintendent role will be essential for managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining project timelines and safety standards as Michuda expands its footprint.

By investing in both experienced professionals and emerging talent, Michuda Construction continues positioning itself for sustained growth in Indiana’s competitive commercial construction market.
