OLYMPIA, WA — July 25, 2025 — Construction Insurance Risk Education (CIRE), a leading training provider at the intersection of construction and insurance, has announced plans to partner with a National Education Provider to deliver its innovative programs across all 50 U.S. states.
Founded by insurance industry veteran Treacy Duerfeldt during the COVID-19 pandemic, CIRE was born from a desire to disrupt repetitive, outdated training models that fail to drive true understanding.
“After taking the same insurance courses for nearly 30 years, reading PDFs and answering repetitive questions every two years, I realized the industry wasn’t helping professionals grow, it was just checking boxes,” Duerfeldt said. “CIRE is here to change that.”
Mission: Verified Learning

CIRE’s mission is to build a stronger link between contractors and insurance professionals by providing engaging, scenario-based learning that goes beyond passive coursework.
“One of the biggest reasons for uncovered claims or overpriced premiums is a fundamental lack of mutual understanding,” Duerfeldt added. “CIRE’s model doesn’t just inform, it unites.”
CIRE’s curriculum now features more than 24 hours of accredited, video-based training, with quizzes built into lessons to verify real-time understanding. Its current reach spans 30 states through an earlier regional provider partnership — including tough regulatory markets like California and Florida.
“We interrupt the passive experience,” said Duerfeldt. “Our quizzes don’t just follow the lesson; they are integrated within it to ensure knowledge is actually being absorbed.”
Scaling Up
With proven results and regulatory approvals, CIRE is now looking to scale up nationally. The right partner will help deliver CIRE’s verified learning platform while managing certification renewals, administrative compliance, and state-specific logistics.
“We have validated our content through regulators and real users,” Duerfeldt explained. “The next step is to find a platform partner who shares our passion for verified learning and has the infrastructure to operate nationwide.”
The ideal provider will have experience dealing with state insurance regulators, a proven track record for managing multi-state certification, and the operational capacity to distribute CIRE’s training to thousands of professionals — from small contractors to large insurance agencies.
“We are not looking for someone to coast,” Duerfeldt emphasized. “We are looking for a platform provider who’s invested in the mission of bridging the gap between construction and insurance through real education, not just checking a box.”
Raising the Bar for Industry Risk Management
CIRE’s training library covers critical construction-related topics — from cyber liability to general liability, workers’ compensation, auto insurance, builders’ risk, bonding, and more. Each course is designed to be accessible for contractors and technically relevant for licensed insurance agents.
“We don’t hand out certificates just for showing up. We want learners to actually know what they are doing,” Duerfeldt said. “That’s how we shift the culture, lower risk, and ultimately improve outcomes for the entire construction ecosystem.”
Next Steps
With a tested format, regulator approval, and industry endorsements already in place, CIRE’s next phase depends on finding a like-minded partner ready to invest in true knowledge delivery.
“Our curriculum is ready. Our mission is clear. Now we need a provider who’s ready to help us bring real education to the people building America, and the people protecting them.”
