The awards highlight MVE’s role in transforming communities through design that blends history, urban vibrancy, and forward-thinking sustainability.
Anaheim, CA – OcVibe Multifamily
MVE is leading the design of the multifamily component of OcVibe, a $4 billion mixed-use development positioned to become Orange County’s next major downtown hub. The project includes 2,250 residential units, designed around civic and commercial landmarks such as the Honda Center.
The development embraces “an authentic urban lifestyle” through architectural patterns, lifestyle amenities, and landscaped public spaces that prioritize connectivity and wellness. The project received the Commendation Award in the Multifamily/Mixed-use Development Unbuilt category.
Santa Ana, CA – Rafferty
Located in the heart of downtown Santa Ana’s Calle Cuatro corridor, Rafferty is a mixed-use project combining two adjacent mid-rise buildings with 218 apartment homes.

A hallmark of the project is its incorporation of a historic building into the modern design — the site’s past life as home to the American Tile Company is preserved while new architecture redefines the space. Alongside housing, the project introduces 12,300 square feet of retail space, supporting a walkable and vibrant urban corridor. Rafferty earned an Award of Merit in the Built Multifamily/Mixed-use Development category.
Salt Lake City, UT – Post District Residences
In Utah, MVE’s work on the Post District Residences was recognized for revitalizing Salt Lake City’s historic Granary District.
The $144 million project blends adaptive reuse with new construction, creating a pedestrian-focused community that features five distinct buildings. The architecture reflects both the city’s industrial roots and the surrounding mountain landscape.
The community includes 580 apartments, 22,405 square feet of retail, and 86,000 square feet of public and private outdoor spaces. Importantly, the development is located within an Opportunity Zone, transforming an economically distressed area into a lively residential and commercial hub. The Post District Residences received a Merit Award in the Built Multifamily/Mixed-use Development category.
These recognitions underscore MVE’s commitment to design that is not only visually striking but also rooted in community connection and long-term economic development.
