London-based investment firm Cain International and Miami-based developer OKO Group have commenced construction on what will soon become the tallest towers in Beverly Hills, marking a monumental $5 billion project known as One Beverly Hills.
Set amidst the glamour of California’s most prestigious zip code, these skyscrapers, soaring 26 and 32 stories high, will redefine luxury living with approximately 200 exclusive condominiums.
Each residence will bear the hallmark of Aman Group, renowned globally for its exquisite resorts favored by luminaries such as George and Amal Clooney, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg, according to the esteemed Los Angeles Times.
While exact pricing remains confidential, experts speculate that these ultra-luxury condos will fetch tens of millions of dollars each, aligning with recent listings ranging from $20 million to $50 million.
The project, which broke ground earlier this year, stands as one of 2024’s largest multifamily developments, as reported by Dodge Construction Network.
Securing an additional $2 billion in construction financing, including a substantial $500 million senior loan from JP Morgan, Cain International underscores its commitment to delivering a transformative urban oasis. Turner Construction, America’s leading general contractor, has been entrusted with overseeing the site’s meticulous development, which is projected to generate over 2,700 local construction jobs.
Beyond residential opulence, One Beverly Hills encompasses a visionary blend of amenities. Spanning 17.5 acres at Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, this mixed-use marvel will feature a 10-story Aman Hotel boasting 78 opulent guest suites and a standalone 100,000-square-foot Aman Club, offering state-of-the-art wellness facilities. Notably, the historic Beverly Hilton, famed host of the Golden Globes, will undergo a thoughtful restoration and modernization, enhancing its iconic stature.
At the heart of this architectural symphony lies a lush, 10-acre landscape connecting the Beverly Hilton and Waldorf Astoria hotels. Conceived as an urban sanctuary, this botanical haven—curated by Foster + Partners, Kerry Hill Architects, and RIOS—showcases over 200 species of California native plants, enriching the community with serene gardens accessible to residents and the public alike.
Jonathan Goldstein, CEO of Cain International, reflects on this landmark endeavor: “One Beverly Hills marks a pivotal moment in our collaboration with Aman Group and the city of Beverly Hills. Together, we are crafting a future that honors the city’s rich legacy while pioneering new standards of luxury and innovation. This development stands as a testament to our shared vision and steadfast commitment to progress.”
As construction accelerates towards completion, One Beverly Hills emerges not only as a beacon of sophistication but as a timeless testament to the spirit of Beverly Hills—a city perpetually redefining elegance and aspiration.
