CET Energy Solutions has expanded its electrical construction and energy services platform through four acquisitions, strengthening its regional footprint and broadening its ability to deliver building efficiency upgrades. The transactions add electrical contractors in Maryland and Massachusetts, along with an energy solutions provider in New Jersey, as demand grows for infrastructure modernisation, electrification and energy cost management.
The acquisitions include three electrical contracting and technology businesses:
Direct Electric Services and JDL Electric will retain their existing names under the new ownership structure. Together, the acquisitions broaden CET's electrical contracting capabilities and strengthen its access to commercial and institutional customers across the Mid-Atlantic and New England.
The fourth acquisition, Vanguard Building Solutions of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, adds energy efficiency services for commercial and industrial facilities. Founded in 2013, the company serves markets including healthcare, warehouses, commercial real estate, hospitality, senior living, higher education and multifamily housing.
Vanguard provides turnkey services covering energy audits, HVAC upgrades, LED lighting, indoor air quality improvements, building controls and solar installations. It also offers financing solutions to help facility owners and operators implement energy projects. The company will transition to the CET Energy Solutions brand.
The addition broadens CET's ability to support customers from energy assessments and project planning through implementation, complementing its electrical construction and renewable energy capabilities.
The four transactions bring CET Energy Solutions' acquisition total to six, following the earlier additions of NuWave Energy Solutions and Horton Electrical Services. The combined platform now has more than 400 employees and is licensed in 10 states across New England and the Mid-Atlantic, with nationwide coverage for energy efficiency projects.
For construction and facility stakeholders, the expanded platform combines self-performing electrical contractors with energy services capabilities. This structure can support integrated project delivery across electrical construction, solar, battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle charging and building efficiency upgrades.
CET Energy Solutions is backed by Broad Sky Partners. The company did not disclose financial terms for the four acquisitions.
