Early exposure to construction projects and industry professionals can help students understand career options in commercial real estate and building development. March Associates Construction recently hosted students from the All Stars Project of New Jersey at The Wyldes, a Class A multifamily community developed by March, for an educational tour focused on construction processes and professional opportunities.
During the visit, students explored the completed residential development and learned how large-scale construction projects progress from planning to completion. March Associates team members discussed the coordination, collaboration and decision-making involved in delivering commercial real estate projects.
The tour also gave students an opportunity to ask questions and hear about different career paths across construction and real estate. The programme connected classroom learning with a completed development, providing a practical perspective on the industry.
The visit builds on March Associates Construction’s ongoing relationship with the All Stars Project of New Jersey, which supports young people through professional development and real-world experiences.
The construction management company has hosted two industry workshops featuring President Lou March Jr. and members of its senior leadership team. The sessions covered career experiences, workplace challenges and advice for young people preparing to enter the workforce.
March Associates has also sponsored two interns through the All Stars Development School for Youth, giving participants exposure to professional environments and potential careers in construction and real estate.
For contractors and developers, partnerships with youth development organisations can create opportunities to introduce students to the range of roles involved in project delivery. Site visits, mentorship and internships provide practical ways to connect emerging talent with industry professionals.
March Associates Construction operates across the Northeast, including New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, delivering multifamily and mixed-use real estate projects. Its engagement with the All Stars Project adds a workforce development component to its activities in the region.
