Norland Limited has expanded its senior management team with four vice president promotions covering infrastructure, site development, equipment and pre-construction. The appointments strengthen leadership across the contractor’s operations in Western Canada as it pursues growth in key markets.
The promoted executives are Bill Beswick, Mike Bitter, Curtis Slater and Troy Walsh, each bringing more than a decade of experience within Norland or its affiliated businesses.
Beswick joined Norland in 2014 and will lead civil construction and infrastructure operations across Western Canada. His project experience includes the South Fraser Perimeter Road, Highway 91/17 upgrades and port and airport expansions, including Fairview Terminals in Prince Rupert and Vancouver International Airport.
Bitter joined Norland in 2005 as a superintendent and has progressed through roles with increasing responsibility. In his new position, he will provide strategic oversight of site development activities, including excavation, shoring, deep foundations, demolition, drilling and blasting. He has also contributed to the growth of BelPacific, a Vancouver-based excavation and shoring business.
Slater will oversee Norland’s equipment and vehicle fleet across Western Canada. He joined Copcan, a Norland company, in 2011 and has led business operations and finance activities, including equipment fleet management across Vancouver Island and the British Columbia Interior. He also played a role in Norland’s acquisition of Copcan Civil in 2021.
Walsh will lead pre-construction activities, including major project pursuits, business development, Indigenous relations, proposal development and estimating. Since joining Norland in 2006, he has held roles across civil construction, estimating and pre-construction, gaining experience from early project planning through execution.
The four promotions strengthen Norland’s leadership structure across core construction disciplines. With responsibilities spanning infrastructure delivery, complex site preparation, fleet management and project acquisition, the appointments support the company’s capacity to pursue and execute work across Western Canada.
