Parsons Corporation is preparing for a leadership change in its finance department, with former Chief Financial Officer George Ball returning to the role on an interim basis as the company begins its search for a permanent successor.
The company announced on October 28 that Executive Vice President and CFO Matt Ofilos will resign effective November 6, 2026, to pursue another professional opportunity. Parsons said the departure is not related to any disagreement over its operations, policies or practices.
Ball brings extensive experience with Parsons, having joined the company in 1995 and held several financial and operational leadership positions with global responsibilities before becoming CFO in 2008.
During his 14-year tenure in the role, he helped guide the company's transformation and played an integral part in its initial public offering in 2019. Following his retirement as CFO in 2022, Ball joined the company's Board of Directors.
His appointment is intended to provide continuity in financial leadership while the board identifies a permanent replacement.
The announcement coincided with Parsons' release of its third-quarter 2026 financial results. The company reported strong quarterly performance, reaffirmed the midpoint and narrowed its fiscal 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance ranges, and reiterated its operating cash flow guidance range.
The company operates across national security and global infrastructure markets, with services spanning transportation, water and environment, urban development, cyber and electronic warfare, space and missile defence, and critical infrastructure protection.
The CFO transition places experienced financial leadership in an interim role while Parsons undertakes a permanent appointment process. For a company operating across major infrastructure and national security markets, continuity in financial oversight will be important as it executes its business strategy and manages its fiscal 2026 outlook.
