  • The company rose from No. 12 in the previous year.
  • Regional general contracting revenue increased from $210 million in 2024 to $445.5 million in 2025.

Rudolph and Sletten recorded a substantial increase in regional revenue in 2025, moving into the top five general contractors in Silicon Valley as healthcare construction contributed to its activity across the market.

Regional Revenue More Than Doubles

The California-based contractor ranked No. 5 on the 2026 Largest General Contractors List, advancing seven positions from its previous ranking of No. 12. Its Silicon Valley general contracting revenue rose from $210 million in 2024 to $445.5 million in 2025, more than doubling year over year.

The annual ranking evaluates contractors based on revenue generated by projects across Silicon Valley, providing a measure of the construction activity handled by companies operating in the region.

Healthcare Projects Support Regional Activity

Rudolph and Sletten’s work includes major healthcare construction and renovation projects. These include the Kaiser Permanente San Jose Replacement Hospital and renovation work at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto.

Healthcare facilities often require complex coordination, specialised building systems and work within technically demanding environments. Such projects form part of the contractor’s activity across specialised sectors, including life sciences and technology.

What the Ranking Means for the Market

The increase in Rudolph and Sletten’s ranking reflects its higher reported regional revenue and expanded position among Silicon Valley’s major general contractors. The results also highlight the scale of construction activity generated by large institutional projects in the region.

For owners, developers and construction partners, contractor rankings offer one indicator of market activity. Revenue figures alone, however, do not establish profitability, backlog or future growth, and the ranking does not independently measure project performance.
