Funding for residential accessibility improvements will increase through an $82,000 contribution raised at the Sundt Foundation's first Southeast Charity Golf Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. The proceeds will support Tucker's House, a nonprofit that helps families modify homes to accommodate children and young adults with disabilities.
The fundraising event took place in October 2026 and brought together sponsors and participants from across the construction and related industries. The contribution is intended to help Tucker's House respond to families waiting for essential home modifications.
Based in Middle Tennessee, Tucker's House works with families, builders, therapists and community organizations to improve residential safety and accessibility.
The nonprofit has completed hundreds of customized home modification projects. Improvements are designed to make everyday activities more manageable for children and young adults with disabilities while helping them remain safely in their homes.
The $82,000 contribution will support the organization's ability to address additional requests for modifications.
The tournament received sponsorship from several construction and equipment industry participants.
Platinum sponsors included Schnabel, Thompson Machinery, Ferguson Waterworks and Shane Trucking and Excavating. Gold sponsors were SRM Concrete, ALB Piping, Cleary Construction and Sunstate Equipment.
The Sundt Foundation organizes charity golf tournaments across seven locations, directing proceeds to nonprofit organizations serving communities where Sundt operates. The foundation's fundraising activities have generated more than $2.6 million through these events.
Accessible housing improvements require coordination among families, construction professionals, therapists and community organizations. Funding initiatives such as the Sundt Foundation's tournament help nonprofit organizations deliver specialized residential modifications that may otherwise remain beyond families' immediate financial reach.
The event also demonstrates how construction industry companies and their supply chain partners can contribute financial support to community-based housing initiatives.
