Construction firms continue to prioritize experienced operational leadership as healthcare, institutional and commercial building markets require increasingly specialized project delivery expertise. EV Construction announced that Chief Operating Officer Joe Novakoski received industry recognition as part of a Michigan architecture, engineering and construction leadership program.
The recognition program highlighted professionals involved in construction leadership, project delivery and workforce development across the state’s built environment sectors.
Joe Novakoski has spent more than three decades with EV Construction and assumed the chief operating officer role in 2026. The executive supports operational oversight for a workforce of more than 150 employees.
During his tenure, Novakoski contributed to the growth of EV Construction’s healthcare construction portfolio, including involvement in the Pine Rest Pediatric Center project in Michigan.
Healthcare construction continues to remain a specialized sector requiring coordination around occupied facilities, phased delivery schedules and regulatory requirements. Contractors with healthcare expertise are increasingly positioned to support medical facility modernization and expansion projects throughout regional markets.
In addition to project operations, Novakoski has participated in construction workforce and industry leadership organizations, including Associated Builders and Contractors. He also serves in advisory and nonprofit leadership roles tied to workforce development and community initiatives.
EV Construction operates from its headquarters in Holland, Michigan, with additional operations in Florida. The contractor provides construction management services across commercial and institutional markets.
Industry recognition programs focused on leadership and workforce contributions have become increasingly common as contractors emphasize operational continuity, employee development and long-term talent retention strategies.
