High Hotels Ltd., a subsidiary of High Real Estate Group, announced it has begun building the new hotel, expanding both its portfolio and the reach of the Hilton brand in the Mid-Atlantic.
The project is strategically located near key cultural and institutional anchors, including ArtsQuest Creative Factory, SteelStacks and Lehigh University, positioning the development within one of Bethlehem’s most active and walkable districts.
The hotel is expected to open in October 2027 and will create more than 50 jobs upon completion.
The Tempo by Hilton project reflects a fully integrated delivery approach, with multiple divisions under the High corporate umbrella contributing to its execution.
Land development is being led by High Associates, while architectural design is handled by Greenfield Architects. Construction services are being provided by High Construction Company, with ownership and operations managed by High Hotels Ltd.
This vertically integrated structure allows for streamlined coordination across development phases, a model increasingly used in complex hospitality and mixed-use projects to manage costs, timelines and design consistency.
The project also aligns with broader investment trends in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley, where rising tourism, corporate activity and higher education demand are driving new construction and redevelopment initiatives.
The new property will operate under the Tempo by Hilton flag, a lifestyle brand designed to appeal to business and leisure travelers seeking flexible, wellness-focused environments.
Tempo by Hilton properties emphasize modern guestroom design, adaptable public spaces and amenities that support both productivity and relaxation. Features typically include open lobby concepts, co-working areas and curated food and beverage offerings.

The Bethlehem development is expected to reinforce the city’s position as a regional destination by adding high-quality accommodations within proximity to arts venues, educational institutions and commercial centers.
As hospitality developers continue to target mixed-use, walkable districts, projects like Tempo by Hilton Bethlehem highlight the growing intersection of tourism, urban redevelopment and commercial construction.
With completion slated for 2027, the project represents a long-term investment in Bethlehem’s economic and cultural infrastructure, as well as Hilton’s ongoing expansion into emerging lifestyle hospitality markets.
