Associated Builders and Contractors - Illinois Chapter (ABCIL) is a state-wide construction industry trade association established in 1975, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, with more than 300 members. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABCIL helps members develop people, win work, and deliver that work safely, ethically, and profitably. The chapter provides government representation, legal advocacy, education, workforce development, and business development services. It is the merit shop construction industry's voice with legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government across Illinois.
