ABC New Mexico was founded in 1980 and serves as the statewide chapter of the national Associated Builders and Contractors trade association. Its mission is to effectively serve and advance the interests of the New Mexico merit shop construction industry, promote worker safety, and educate and train quality craft professionals. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC NM helps members develop people, win work, and deliver that work safely, ethically, and profitably. The chapter advocates open competition and a free-enterprise approach that awards contracts based solely on merit, regardless of labor affiliation.
