The Associated Builders and Contractors Texas Coastal Bend Chapter is the merit shop organization of the construction industry for commercial and industrial contractors, oil and gas entities, energy companies, suppliers, and service firms. Chartered in 1982, the chapter promotes competition within the construction industry through the merit shop philosophy. It helps protect the rights of member firms to manage their own businesses and labor relations, and offers educational programs, labor relations advice, and networking opportunities to members across the Coastal Bend and Rio Grande Valley.
