Parsons is supporting a broad portfolio of transportation infrastructure projects across New York and New Jersey, with work spanning major rail, tunnel, bridge, highway and aviation programs throughout the Northeast Corridor.
Over the past decade, Parsons has participated in nearly 500 infrastructure projects across New York and New Jersey. The company reports contracts valued at nearly $12 billion and project teams responsible for more than $52 billion in constructed value across transportation, water, environmental and related infrastructure markets.
On the Hudson Tunnel Project, Parsons serves as managing partner of the MPA Delivery Partners joint venture. The program includes two new rail tunnels beneath the Hudson River and rehabilitation of the existing North River Tunnel, addressing capacity and resiliency along a heavily used section of the Northeast Corridor.
In New York, Parsons is also serving as lead designer for the Hunts Point Interstate Access Improvement project, supporting freight mobility and access to the South Bronx distribution district. The company is involved in roadway, utility and ground transportation improvements associated with the redevelopment of John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Parsons also helped deliver Grand Central Madison and is deploying its iNET smart mobility platform across New York State Department of Transportation's 11 districts.
Parsons' New Jersey portfolio includes lead design responsibilities for the Newark AirTrain Replacement Program and Newark Bay Bridge replacement, along with work supporting Newark Penn Station modernization.
The company previously provided design and construction services for the $2.7 billion Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A redevelopment. The project added passenger space, upgraded building systems and improved connections within one of the region's major aviation gateways.
Other notable regional work includes the rehabilitation of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Goethals Bridge replacement. The Brooklyn Bridge rehabilitation received an American Council of Engineering Companies of New York Diamond Award, while the Goethals project was the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's first public-private partnership bridge project.
Parsons' regional portfolio covers multiple infrastructure types, allowing transportation agencies to address capacity, rehabilitation, mobility and resiliency needs across interconnected systems.
The combination of active tunnel, rail, bridge, highway and airport programs also illustrates the scale of infrastructure investment underway across the New York-New Jersey transportation network.
