Plant tours and industry events are giving students, community members and other visitors a closer look at precast concrete manufacturing and career opportunities during the 2026 PCI Precast Days program.
The annual initiative, organized by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, runs October 5-16 and gives participating producers an opportunity to demonstrate manufacturing processes, discuss construction careers and connect their operations with local communities.
Participating PCI producers are hosting events designed to introduce visitors to the people, equipment and processes involved in producing precast concrete components.
The program is also aimed at students and individuals considering careers in construction. Plant visits provide exposure to manufacturing operations that support both structural and architectural applications across the construction industry.
Coreslab, FINFROCK, Metromont and Tindall Corporation are among the producers participating in events during the two-week program.
Encon LLC's TPAC Division in Phoenix is combining its PCI Precast Days participation with a 70th-anniversary celebration scheduled for October 8.
The event will include guided plant tours, a sample garden featuring TPAC products, a photo backdrop, a food truck and prize giveaways. The program is designed to provide visitors with a closer look at the products and manufacturing operations behind the business.
The anniversary event also highlights TPAC's seven decades of operations in Arizona and its relationship with customers, employees and trade partners.
PCI represents 140 producer members operating 254 PCI-certified plants throughout North America. Its producer members recorded $7.38 billion in sales in 2025.
Precast concrete is manufactured off-site in controlled production environments, supporting consistency and quality in finished components. The material is used in architectural and structural applications across a range of building and infrastructure projects.
Applications include low- and high-rise buildings, parking structures, bridges and other structures.
PCI Precast Days connects manufacturing facilities with the communities and potential workforce that support the construction industry. Plant tours can give students and prospective workers direct exposure to precast production, while providing producers an opportunity to explain career paths and the role of off-site manufacturing in construction.
With participating plants hosting events through October 16, the program also provides a concentrated industry outreach effort during a period when construction companies and manufacturers continue to develop the next generation of skilled workers.
