The company announced new appointments across construction, power development, operations, permitting, marketing and corporate strategy roles as it continues expanding its digital infrastructure portfolio.
Headquartered in Toronto and New York, Bitfarms operates data centers and energy infrastructure supporting next-generation computing applications, including AI.
“We are excited to welcome Tara, Michael, Christopher, Paul, Kevin, and Tom to our leadership team,” said Ben Gagnon. “As we continue toward U.S. domiciliation and advance our sites, building a seasoned domestic leadership bench is essential. Our recent hires bring substantial industry experience, with an average of more than 20 years in digital and power infrastructure and extensive backgrounds in complex construction and specialized HPC data center development. Our new leaders will be based out of our New York office, positioning us to operate with greater coordination and focus as we enter the next phase of our growth.”
Among the key additions is Michael Byrne, who will oversee construction execution for the company’s HPC and AI data center projects.
Byrne brings extensive hyperscale development experience, having previously held leadership roles at Linesight and Aurecon. His background includes managing large data center programs across North America, South America and Europe.
Bitfarms also named Christopher Ruppel to oversee energy development strategies supporting high-density compute environments.
Ruppel previously worked at MARA Holdings, where he led energy strategy initiatives for digital infrastructure. His experience includes developing more than 4 gigawatts of global energy projects and structuring major infrastructure financings.
The company further strengthened its technical operations leadership with the appointment of Paul Peterson.
Peterson brings nearly two decades of experience managing critical infrastructure and engineering operations. His previous leadership roles include positions at JLL and CBRE, where he oversaw engineering programs and infrastructure strategies for hyperscale and enterprise data center clients.
Meanwhile, Kevin Roberts will lead regulatory approvals and environmental compliance efforts for the company’s development projects. Roberts has more than 20 years of experience managing large energy infrastructure and data center permitting programs across the United States.
His experience includes overseeing development and compliance for more than 50 natural gas facilities and over 1,000 miles of pipeline infrastructure, along with multiple utility-scale data center projects.
In addition to infrastructure leadership roles, Bitfarms expanded its corporate team to support strategic growth initiatives.
Tara Goldstein will lead the company’s global marketing and communications strategy, including brand development and corporate positioning.
Goldstein previously served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Brookfield Properties, where she helped oversee marketing for a 98-million-square-foot portfolio of office, retail and residential properties.
The company also appointed Thomas Tyree III to lead financial planning, capital allocation and strategic partnerships tied to the company’s HPC and AI transition.
Tyree previously served as part of the executive leadership team at Stronghold Digital Mining, where he led the company’s initial public offering and several major financing transactions.

Bitfarms is increasingly positioning itself as a digital infrastructure and energy company supporting high-performance computing applications.
The company currently manages a 2.1-gigawatt North American energy portfolio, including operating facilities, development projects and future pipeline capacity located in major data center markets.
These facilities provide access to both power infrastructure and fiber connectivity—two critical components needed to support large-scale AI and HPC data center operations.
The leadership expansion comes as global demand for AI computing capacity continues to surge, prompting infrastructure companies to rapidly expand data center development.
High-performance computing facilities are becoming essential for training advanced AI models and supporting real-time data processing across industries such as cloud computing, financial services and autonomous systems.
By adding experienced leaders in construction, energy development and digital infrastructure operations, Bitfarms aims to accelerate project development while strengthening its ability to deliver large-scale AI data center campuses across North America.
