Located near South Towne Mall, the multi-level facility will feature 72 hitting bays, a full-service restaurant, outdoor patio, and event and party spaces. Beyond golf, the venue aims to serve as a destination for group gatherings, casual outings, and nightlife — a model that has made Topgolf locations popular across the country.

The project is also expected to create more than 250 jobs, bringing both economic growth and tourism to the area.

Monona Mayor Nancy Moore emphasized that the value of the facility goes far beyond traditional sports.

“This is really about having a premier entertainment and recreation facility. It's not about having the best game the best golf game,” Moore said.

Topgolf locations are known for offering a mix of indoor comfort and outdoor gameplay, where players — regardless of skill level — can enjoy digital scoring games, music, food, and social spaces. Whether used as a high-tech driving range or a group entertainment hub, the Monona location will introduce a fresh recreation experience to Wisconsin.

Mayor Moore said she believes the project will elevate Monona’s profile as a regional entertainment destination, attracting both locals and visitors from neighboring communities.

With construction now underway, excitement is building among residents eager to experience the state’s first taste of the Topgolf phenomenon.
