The National Association of Home Builders announced that applications are now open for its 2026 awards programs, with submission periods extending through Sept. 21 for most categories.
The annual awards initiatives recognize achievements across residential construction, remodeling, sales and marketing, safety programs, supplier services and professional leadership within the home building industry.
Several award programs focus directly on residential project delivery, architecture and construction innovation.
The Best in American Living Awards program recognizes residential construction work across home design, remodeling, multifamily housing and offsite construction sectors. The Nationals Awards program will also evaluate projects and programs tied to new-home sales, marketing, 55+ housing and global innovation.
Additional categories include the Custom Home Builder of the Year Award, which recognizes builders for residential construction leadership and project execution, along with awards tied to community amenities, multifamily development and whole-home remodeling projects.
The organization also announced continued recognition programs for supplier innovation and construction safety performance.
The awards platform includes programs focused on workforce development, industry leadership and professional engagement across the housing sector.
Young Professional Awards will recognize industry professionals under age 45 for leadership contributions at the local, state and national levels. The Professional Women in Building Awards will acknowledge leadership among individuals and local councils involved in the residential construction industry.
The Student Chapters program, which remains open through Oct. 13, highlights achievements among student members, faculty advisors and local home builders association participants.
Council-based recognition categories are also included for organizations tied to remodeling, sales and marketing, 55+ housing and professional women in building groups.
Industry associations and trade organizations continue using awards programs to highlight construction innovation, workforce initiatives and operational best practices across the residential building market.
For home builders, developers and suppliers, industry recognition programs can support recruiting, business development and project visibility efforts while also showcasing advancements in housing design, construction safety and customer engagement strategies.
