Nevada Contractors’ Wage Survey Deadline Nears

Caroline Raffetto

Contractors Reminded: Prevailing Wage Survey Due by July 15

The Office of the Labor Commissioner is reminding Nevada contractors that they have until 5 p.m. on July 15 to submit responses for the 2025–27 Prevailing Wage/Construction Wage Survey.

This biennial survey helps determine the prevailing wage rates for public works construction projects across the state, according to a news release. The office will analyze construction work completed between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2025, to establish new rates effective Oct. 1.

By law, Nevada’s labor commissioner must conduct this survey annually to collect information from contractors performing construction work. The rates derived from this survey apply to public works projects over $100,000, including government buildings and roadways.

Contractors can complete the survey online by visiting the “Prevailing Wage” section at labor.nv.gov. There, they’ll find instructions and the link to the Construction Wage Survey portal.

Participants are required to provide specific details for each project completed during the two-year survey period. Information includes the project name and location, construction type, dates of work, whether the project was public works, craft classifications, hours worked, base and fringe hourly rates, and any union affiliation.

For help, contractors can reach out to the Office of the Labor Commissioner at:
Carson City: 775-684-1890
Las Vegas: 702-486-2650
Email: mail1@labor.nv.gov

Failure to participate can result in an incomplete wage picture, which could impact future wage rates and bidding requirements for contractors statewide. The Labor Commissioner’s office urges all eligible firms to contribute to ensure accurate, fair prevailing wage standards for Nevada’s construction workforce.

Contractors who miss the deadline may have limited opportunity to contest the final rates once they take effect on Oct. 1.
