Union County Welcomes PickleRage in Major New Jersey Expansion

UNION COUNTY, N.J. — PickleRage is continuing its rapid growth across New Jersey with a brand-new location slated for Union County, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2025. The facility will be part of the under-construction New World Sports complex at 900 N. Avenue, positioning itself as a premier year-round hub for pickleball players of all skill levels.

The Union County PickleRage will be spearheaded by Mike Silva, a seasoned veteran in the fitness and sports facility industry. Silva’s impressive career includes leadership roles in major fitness clubs, multi-sport facilities, and his tenure as Founder and President of The Edge Fitness. With a reputation for building dynamic, community-driven destinations, Silva is poised to help PickleRage further solidify its presence in the Garden State.

“Union County is the perfect market for PickleRage, and I’m excited to introduce the sport of pickleball to even more people through the brand’s world-class clubs,” said Silva. “PickleRage is more than just a place to play, it’s a spot where athletes, families, and friends can come together to stay active and have fun. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the community!”

The new facility will boast 18 professional-grade CushionX pickleball courts, a comfortable player’s lounge, a fully stocked pro shop, and state-of-the-art booking technology to make scheduling easy. Programming will include skills clinics, recreational and competitive leagues, tournaments, and themed social events designed to engage both beginners and seasoned players.

As part of the larger New World Sports complex, visitors will also have access to additional amenities, including tennis courts, a fitness center, and on-site dining options, creating a full-service sports and recreation destination.

David Smith, COO of PickleRage, emphasized the significance of this partnership.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to the PickleRage family,” said Smith. “His impressive background in developing and leading successful fitness and multi-sport facilities makes him an ideal partner for our brand, and his passion for creating vibrant, community-focused spaces aligns perfectly with our mission to grow the sport of pickleball.”

PickleRage’s Union County location marks another milestone in the company’s New Jersey expansion, reinforcing the state’s position as a key growth market for the fast-rising sport. With demand for pickleball surging nationwide, this latest facility aims to not only serve local players but also attract regional visitors through tournaments and events, boosting both recreation and economic activity in the area.
