Construction companies continue to expand their community engagement efforts through charitable fundraising that benefits organizations serving local and national needs. Sundt Foundation has added to those efforts by raising $77,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during its 20th Annual Southern California Charity Golf Tournament.
Held at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, California, the sold-out event brought together construction industry partners, employees, and supporters to generate funding for programs serving individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and hundreds of other neuromuscular disorders.
The fundraiser attracted 144 golfers and generated financial support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's work in medical research, patient care, advocacy, and access to specialized services. The nonprofit also provides educational resources and support programs for individuals living with neuromuscular diseases and their families.
The annual tournament is one of several charitable initiatives organized by Sundt Foundation to strengthen communities where Sundt employees live and work.
Since its establishment in 1999, Sundt Foundation has contributed more than $20 million through grants and fundraising activities supporting nonprofit organizations across the United States.
Sundt Construction operates in transportation, water and wastewater, advanced facilities, heavy industrial, mining, renewable energy, concrete, and building markets, with offices across multiple states.
Community partnerships remain an important component of the construction industry's broader commitment to corporate responsibility. Fundraising initiatives such as this help strengthen relationships between contractors, trade partners, nonprofit organizations, and the communities where construction projects are delivered, while supporting programs that provide healthcare resources and family assistance beyond the jobsite.
