Workforce retention and employee engagement remain important considerations for construction companies competing for skilled professionals and project management talent. Clark Construction Company has received workplace recognition in Michigan, including the top position in West Michigan and a top-15 statewide ranking.
Clark was named the No. 1 Best Place to Work in West Michigan and ranked 11th overall on the 2026 Best Places to Work in Michigan list. The company also ranked first among construction management companies included in the statewide results.
The statewide program evaluates employers across three size categories based on U.S. employee counts. The selection process combines an assessment of workplace policies, practices and workforce demographics with an employee survey measuring workplace experience.
Clark has now appeared on the statewide list for seven consecutive years. The 2026 ranking also marked the company's first year of eligibility for the West Michigan recognition.
The recognition comes as construction employers continue competing for skilled workers across project management, field operations, estimating and other technical roles. Workplace policies and employee experience can form part of a contractor's broader workforce strategy.
Clark was recognized at separate events in Grand Rapids on Aug. 13 and Aug. 20. The company is also scheduled to be included in a special publication associated with the statewide workplace rankings.
