After that window, crews will resume work, with daytime and nighttime lane closures possible on an as-needed basis across the region’s 21 counties.
In Benton County, motorists should expect temporary lane closures on I-40 at Exit 126 as grading, drainage, and paving continue at the U.S. 641 interchange. Additional closures are planned along SR-1 (U.S. 70) between the Camden Bypass and the Tennessee River.
Carroll County remains a major focus area, with resurfacing, bridge repairs, and roadway realignments affecting SR-1 (U.S. 70) and SR-76 (U.S. 79). Several local roads, including Meadowbrook Lane, Dorsey Road, Clay Farm Road, and Power Station Road, are closed for utility realignment and construction, with detours posted. Traffic shifts and reduced speed limits remain in place near Cutlip Lane and Trezevant.
In Dyer County, bridge inspections continue on SR-211 near Dyersburg, while Weakley County drivers may encounter lane closures at the SR-43 and U.S. 45E interchange due to concrete ramp repairs.
In Chester County, crews are replacing two bridges on SR-100 between East Main Street and Baker Road, with a temporary traffic signal and reduced speed limits in effect. Crockett County continues to see road closures in Bells related to the relocation of SR-76, impacting multiple streets including Central Avenue and Weddle Street.

Several ramps at I-55 and S.R. 14 (Third Street) remain closed, with detours in place.
Tipton County drivers should anticipate daily lane closures on US-51, SR-54, and SR-384 for resurfacing and bridge repair work.
TDOT encourages drivers to stay informed by checking SmartWay traffic cameras, dialing 511, or following @myTDOT on X for real-time updates. Officials also remind motorists to plan ahead, obey posted speed limits, and avoid distracted driving in active work zones.
Drivers are urged to “Know Before You Go” by reviewing current road conditions prior to travel, especially during overnight and early-morning hours when many closures are scheduled.
