Balfour Beatty’s Carolinas team has wrapped up major interior upgrades for two prestigious law firms — Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson and Katten Muchin Rosenman — reaffirming its commitment to delivering innovative and client-centric workspaces tailored to the legal sector.
The transformation of Robinson Bradshaw’s offices, located in the 600 South Tryon tower in Charlotte’s Uptown, spans more than 101,500 square feet across four floors. In collaboration with Playbook Management Company and Redline Design Group, Balfour Beatty delivered a modern office upfit anchored by a visually stunning central staircase. Designed to reflect the firm’s collaborative culture, the wood-veneered staircase links all four levels, with sleek linear lighting installed beneath each step for a refined, inviting look.
“The recent completion of Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson’s new offices in Charlotte exemplifies Balfour Beatty’s best-in-class approach to building upscale law offices,” said Hunt Werner, Balfour Beatty Vice President in the Carolinas. “Over the course of the project, the team executed meticulous planning and complex construction solutions to deliver a high-end office upfit.
“This included delivering the office's monumental staircase during the core and shell construction phase, utilising a 225-foot crane to safely install stringers from floor levels 21 through 24. Our teammates’ unwavering dedication on this project as well as many other high-profile law offices showcases our unparalleled ability to meet the unique workplace standards that empowers legal teams to provide exceptional service.”
Balfour Beatty also recently completed a renovation for repeat client Katten Muchin Rosenman at another Uptown Charlotte location. The 32,000-square-foot project — spanning one and a half floors — was completed in partnership with CBRE and Gensler. Highlights include a hospitality-style reception, a work café, formal conference areas, and private offices, all appointed with premium finishes designed to reflect the firm’s high standards and professional image.
The successful delivery of both office projects builds on Balfour Beatty’s extensive experience renovating high-end legal workspaces in the Charlotte area. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, the company has also worked with major firms including Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, Mayer Brown, and K&L Gates.
These recent projects underscore Balfour Beatty’s growing reputation as a leading partner in delivering sophisticated, space-efficient legal office interiors in the Carolinas.
