Cloudbeds has unveiled its inaugural Cloudbeds Collection, a curated global portfolio of 100 independent hospitality properties redefining the future of the industry through design innovation, unconventional business models, and strong community impact.
Announced from San Diego, the collection spans more than 30 countries across five continents, featuring a diverse mix of hotels, resorts, hostels, and alternative accommodations. From private island retreats in the Philippines to luxury stargazing domes in the United States, the showcase highlights how independent hoteliers are competing head-to-head with global brands while maintaining distinctive identities.
“These properties are physical expressions of the hoteliers behind them,” said Adam Harris, CEO and co-founder of Cloudbeds. “The Cloudbeds Collection captures the full range of what hospitality can be today because it’s built by people who chose to do things differently—on purpose. Their independence is intentional, and it shows in every detail of the guest experience.”
The collection brings together properties that utilize the Cloudbeds platform to unify operations, distribution, guest experience, and revenue strategy into a single intelligent system—replacing fragmented legacy tools with integrated growth infrastructure.
A Global Showcase of Independent Innovation
Organized around creative themes, the Cloudbeds Collection reflects the evolving priorities of modern travelers and the entrepreneurial vision of independent hoteliers.
Designed with intention includes properties such as Al Moudira Hotels in Egypt, a palace-like retreat handcrafted by local artisans along the Nile, and Ultima Collection in Switzerland, known for its personalized luxury chalets and boutique hotels grounded in a strong sense of place.
Designed for connection features community-driven destinations like Valentines Resort & Marina in The Bahamas and Mad Monkey Hostels, recognized for its vibrant, social-first hospitality model.
Designed for escape highlights remote experiences such as Severin Safari Camp in Kenya and OVO Patagonia in Argentina, where capsules are suspended 270 meters above ground.
Designed for indulgence showcases properties like Azulik in Mexico and Nay Palad Hideaway in the Philippines, a resort rebuilt after a typhoon as a symbol of sustainable resilience.
Designed to break the mold includes The Zero Hotels in Portugal and Vacatia in the United States, which is modernizing the timeshare model with greater transparency and flexibility.
Designed differently spotlights creative properties like Casa Hoyos and Acoma House, where art and architecture shape the core guest experience.
People’s Choice Award Winner Announced
Alongside the broader launch, Cloudbeds revealed the winner of its inaugural People’s Choice Award. Viajero Hostels earned the honor after public voting among 15 finalists. The brand was recognized for creating culturally rooted spaces across Latin America that emphasize connection, belonging, and shared experiences.
The award underscores the collection’s central theme: independence as a strategic advantage rather than a limitation.
Technology Powering Independent Growth
Founded in 2012, Cloudbeds operates in more than 150 countries and positions itself as hospitality’s “intelligent growth engine.” Its unified platform integrates property management, revenue optimization, channel distribution, and guest engagement into a single system enhanced by AI-powered tools.
The company’s Signals AI model enables hoteliers to anticipate demand trends, personalize guest journeys, and make data-driven operational decisions. Cloudbeds has received multiple industry recognitions, including top PMS honors from Hotel Tech Report (2021–2026), World Travel Awards distinctions, and placement on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list.
By spotlighting these 100 properties, Cloudbeds aims to demonstrate how independent hotels can scale sustainably, innovate creatively, and compete globally without sacrificing individuality.
