Ironman International Secures $12.1 Million U.S. Fiber Infrastructure Construction Agreement

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Ironman International Ltd. announced May 15 that its wholly owned subsidiary, Ironman Directional Drilling Ltd., has entered into a master construction agreement valued at approximately $12.1 million to support fiber optic infrastructure projects in the United States.
The agreement, signed May 12 with a U.S.-based communications infrastructure partner, establishes a framework under which Ironman Directional Drilling will perform construction and related services through separate statements of work tied to fiber network expansion projects.
According to the company, the work is expected to begin within the next several weeks and continue through 2026. The projects will focus on broadband infrastructure development in remote Indigenous communities in east-central Alaska.
The scope of work aligns with Ironman’s core service offerings, including horizontal directional drilling, conduit installation, plowing, fiber splicing, testing, commissioning and associated civil construction services.
Management described the agreement as a significant milestone for the company’s telecommunications infrastructure operations.
“This signed agreement is an important step forward for Ironman as we continue to build our platform around critical infrastructure,” said Mike Irmen, chief executive officer of Ironman International. “This project represents more than just laying cable, it’s about connecting families, businesses, schools, and essential services to the opportunities broadband provides.”
Irmen added that the project highlights the company’s ability to deploy experienced crews, specialized equipment and technical expertise in challenging field conditions.
Agreement Expands Telecommunications Infrastructure Portfolio
Ironman International said the agreement supports its broader strategy of pursuing larger-scale infrastructure opportunities across the telecommunications and utility sectors.
The company specializes in trenchless construction and horizontal directional drilling services used in telecommunications, electrical, water, sewer, geothermal and energy infrastructure projects throughout North America.
Revenue generated under the agreement will depend on completed work authorizations, customer approvals, project performance and standard construction milestones tied to invoicing and payment schedules.
The company noted that the agreement includes standard provisions related to project scope, change orders, insurance, completion requirements and construction administration.
Work will proceed subject to permits, engineering approvals, site conditions and other customary project requirements.
Alaska Broadband Expansion Supports Remote Communities
The infrastructure work is expected to support broadband access improvements in underserved Indigenous communities in Alaska, where geographic challenges have historically limited telecommunications connectivity.
Demand for fiber optic and broadband infrastructure continues to grow across North America as public and private sector investment increases in rural internet expansion, utility modernization and digital infrastructure development.
Ironman management said the company intends to continue leveraging its operational platform, equipment fleet and technical capabilities to pursue additional infrastructure opportunities.
The company’s common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol IMI and on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol IMITF.
Ironman cautioned that project revenues and timelines remain subject to customary construction risks, including permitting, labor availability, environmental conditions, supply chain constraints and customer approvals.
