Employee development and project leadership remain important to delivering complex water infrastructure work, with MEB promoting James Sebree to Senior Project Engineer following more than three years with the company.
Sebree has contributed to the HRSD James River Treatment Plant SWIFT Facility and Advanced Nutrient Reduction Improvements project during his tenure at MEB. His work has involved increasing responsibility for supporting field crews and helping maintain project progress.
Senior Project Manager Frank O'Reilly cited Sebree's development in technical skills and confidence in leading others. His initiative, ability to support team members and willingness to take on additional responsibilities were among the factors recognized in the promotion.
In his new position, Sebree plans to build relationships with new clients, collaborate with colleagues across MEB and expand his project knowledge. He also intends to take on additional challenges while maintaining the company's focus on client delivery.
Sebree identified teamwork and a positive, solutions-oriented work environment as important aspects of his experience at MEB. His promotion adds to the company's broader efforts to develop employees through hands-on project experience and increased leadership responsibilities.
Water and wastewater infrastructure projects require coordination among engineering, construction management and field teams. Developing project engineers into more senior roles helps contractors build the technical expertise and leadership capacity needed to manage complex work and maintain project continuity.
