A major corporate office expansion in Mansfield, Texas, has reached its structural topping-out milestone, moving the project closer to delivering new workplace and research facilities for Klein Tools. Satterfield & Pontikes Construction joined Klein Tools, project partners and community representatives to mark completion of the building’s structural frame.
The three-story, 200,000-square-foot expansion is designed to accommodate the manufacturer’s growing operations and provide additional space for product development, collaboration and administrative functions.
The first floor will include research and development laboratories, marketing and procurement offices, additional workspace and a large cafeteria. The second floor will primarily accommodate offices supporting new products, research and development, and international operations. A food and beverage area and flexible partitions are also planned.
The third floor is being reserved for future expansion as Klein Tools continues to grow. The development also includes an outdoor courtyard with custom lighting, turf and employee gathering spaces.
Once operational, the facility is expected to support the creation of more than 400 full-time jobs over the next several years.
The topping-out ceremony brought together representatives from Klein Tools, S&P, project design firm BOKA Powell and local and state leadership. The event recognised the contributions of construction teams and trade partners involved in advancing the project.
Klein Tools, established in 1857, has maintained a significant presence in Mansfield, where the company has continued investing in its operations and workforce. The office expansion is intended to provide additional capacity for innovation and future business activities.
Construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2027.
The expansion combines corporate office development with dedicated research and development space, supporting manufacturing innovation and workforce growth in Mansfield. For construction stakeholders, the project demonstrates continued investment in specialised workplace facilities designed to accommodate long-term business expansion.
