Idaho’s construction and development community is once again in the spotlight as 39 projects from across the state have been named finalists for the Idaho Business Review’s 2025 Top Projects Awards.
The annual recognition celebrates the most impactful and innovative projects that contribute to Idaho’s infrastructure, economy, and community growth. Finalists were announced on Aug. 15, and the winners—including the coveted Project of the Year—will be revealed at the 21st annual Top Projects event on Oct. 16, 2025, at Boise Centre East.
The Top Projects Awards have become a cornerstone event for Idaho’s building and design industries. Last year, the Idaho Outdoor Field House in Boise, a more than $1 million facility, took home Project of the Year in the Private category. Organizers say 2025 is shaping up to be even more competitive, with entries ranging from major public works and transportation upgrades to private commercial and residential developments.
To qualify, projects must have been substantially completed between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, with a construction value exceeding $1 million.
Projects compete in five categories: Infrastructure/Utility, Private, Public, Renovation, and Transportation. Beyond the judged awards, the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Idaho Power, allows the public to weigh in. Voting will be open from Sept. 8–26 on idahobusinessreview.com, making community participation a key part of the selection process.
The Idaho Associated General Contractors (AGC) is again sponsoring the Specialty Contractor of the Year Award, which is now in its sixth year. The 2024 award went to Rocky Mountain Electric, a recognition that highlighted the essential contributions of specialty trades to Idaho’s growing construction landscape.
The Oct. 16 event will not only announce the winners but also debut a special publication profiling all finalists, offering deeper insight into the design, construction, and community impact of each project. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Boise Centre East, bringing together contractors, architects, developers, engineers, and civic leaders to celebrate the state’s progress.
