LAS VEGAS — Associated Builders and Contractors of Nevada (ABC Nevada) recognized outstanding contractors, projects and safety achievements during its 34th annual Excellence in Construction safety recognition and awards luncheon, drawing nearly 200 members from across the state’s construction industry.
The annual event highlighted companies and project teams that demonstrated leadership, innovation and a strong commitment to safety standards while contributing to Nevada’s growing economy. ABC Nevada, a statewide trade association dedicated to promoting free enterprise in construction, has hosted the awards for more than three decades to spotlight best-in-class performance across multiple project categories.
“Annually, we gather to celebrate the top players in our industry, recognizing our members, their projects and their leadership as they drive a flourishing Nevada economy,” said Mac Bybee, president and CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors of Nevada. “The annual celebration spotlights the people and projects setting the pace for Nevada’s construction industry, honoring the leadership, innovation and safety standards that define top-tier performance.”
This year’s awards program honored general contractors and specialty contractors across a wide range of project types, including health care, renovation, hospitality, residential and infrastructure work. Projects ranged in value from small specialty jobs to major developments exceeding $100 million, reflecting the breadth and complexity of construction activity underway across Nevada.
Among the first-place winners were Cobblestone Construction for the James Down Towers Modernization Project, SR Construction Inc. for multiple health care projects, and Martin-Harris Construction for large-scale hospitality and multifamily developments. Helix Electric received numerous top and second-place honors across industrial and commercial electrical categories, underscoring the company’s strong presence in Nevada’s specialty contracting sector.
Second-place awards recognized additional renovation, education and public infrastructure projects, highlighting the depth of competition and craftsmanship among ABC Nevada members.
Beyond awards recognition, ABC Nevada emphasized its broader mission of supporting the construction workforce and advancing the industry statewide. The organization represents more than 250 member companies and promotes the Merit Shop Philosophy, advocating for a competitive marketplace based on safety, quality and performance.
ABC Nevada’s initiatives include workforce development, apprenticeship training, leadership education and legislative advocacy. Programs such as its Apprenticeship Program and Leadership Institute are designed to strengthen the state’s skilled labor pipeline while providing professional growth opportunities for contractors and construction professionals.
Members also benefit from safety programs, networking opportunities, health insurance offerings, retirement plans and continued education, all aimed at supporting business growth and long-term industry stability.
