The construction and public works sectors are using industry events to strengthen connections between contractors, engineers and public agencies while supporting future infrastructure gatherings. Achen-Gardner participated in that effort by sponsoring an Arizona public works fundraising event tied to the 2027 Public Works Expo.
Achen-Gardner served as the presenting sponsor of the Arizona Chapter of the American Public Works Association Pickleball Tournament on Aug. 6 at The Picklr Tempe.
The event raised funds for PWX, APWA's national conference, which is scheduled to be held in Phoenix in 2027. The tournament brought together municipal representatives, engineers, contractors and other professionals working across the public works sector.
The event combined fundraising with networking among professionals involved in public infrastructure planning, engineering and construction.
Achen-Gardner employee-owners participated alongside representatives from public agencies and other industry organizations. The event provided an opportunity for professionals across the public works community to connect ahead of the 2027 national conference.
Achen-Gardner is also supporting PWX 2027 as a local sponsor as preparations and fundraising continue for the Phoenix event.
