Balfour Beatty Florida Operations Secures $70 Million in Special Projects

ORLANDO, FORT LAUDERDALE & MIAMI, FLA. – Balfour Beatty has been selected to complete over $70 million in special projects across Central and South Florida, reflecting the company's dedication to both large-scale developments and niche, quick-turn projects. These works expand Balfour Beatty’s portfolio in various sectors, including corporate office, adaptive reuse, aviation, entertainment, public/civic, and mixed-use/retail.
Since January, Balfour Beatty's Florida Buildings operations have been chosen to handle more than 13 special projects for clients across the region. Notable projects include:
Crooked Can Brewery
Construction of a 40,000-square-foot brewery in Minneola, with work set to begin in early 2025 and complete by Spring 2026.
Asana Partners' Minnesota Row Business Center
An adaptive reuse project in Winter Park, transforming a six-building center into a mixed-use complex. Construction is underway with an expected completion in Spring 2026.
Osceola County Fire Station 85
A new 12,290-square-foot fire station in Kissimmee. The project is completed and serves local responders.
Osceola County Fire Station 83
Construction of the 17th station in the County with an innovative prototype design. Expected completion is in Summer 2025.
Diplomat Beach Resort Renovations
Phase one includes 33,328 square feet of improvements to the resort’s entrance, lobby, bar, and pool deck.
JW Marriott Grand Lake Orlando Resort
A renovation of 197,000 square feet of meeting space while the hotel remains operational.
United Airlines Projects
Completed and ongoing works, including renovations to employee breakrooms and critical maintenance to the South Hangar.
Lapis Retail Landlord Project
A mixed-use retail space for Florida International University students in Miami, developed in partnership with Toll Brothers Apartment Living.
