Balfour Beatty has appointed Sarah Brand as vice president of operations for its Buildings operations in Tampa. In the role, Brand will oversee business performance, project delivery and strategic growth while developing the contractor's pipeline and client relationships in the region.

Brand's responsibilities will cover several construction sectors active in the Tampa market, including multifamily housing, hospitality, higher education, aviation and commercial development.

Balfour Beatty's Tampa portfolio includes multifamily developments and hospitality projects, along with work involving other commercial and institutional facilities. Recent projects include Manor Riverwalk, Edge Collective II and Hotel Cala.

The Tampa business is part of Balfour Beatty's broader Buildings operations across Florida and the Southeast. Brand will work to expand the regional pipeline while supporting project execution and relationships with public and private clients.

Brand Brings Regional and Technical Experience

Brand joined Balfour Beatty in 2008 and has held responsibilities involving planning, design integration and delivery of complex developments.

Her experience includes supporting strategic pursuits and major programs across the contractor's operations. As a Southwest Florida native, Brand also brings regional knowledge to the Tampa leadership position.

Brand earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Duke University, with an emphasis on structures and a certificate in architectural engineering. She is a Professional Engineer, Designated Design-Build Professional and LEED Accredited Professional.
