INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Aug. 27, 2026 — Becknell Industrial has promoted two executives to senior accounting and finance positions as the industrial real estate developer continues expanding its national platform.
Chris Wescott has been promoted to chief accounting officer, while Joe Beaty has been named senior vice president of corporate finance. The appointments are intended to strengthen the company’s financial leadership as it manages continued growth across its development, construction and investment operations.

Wescott, who joined Becknell in 2011, will oversee accounting and financial reporting functions. His responsibilities include joint venture reporting, property accounting, construction accounting and financial statement audits.
Beaty joined Becknell in 2021 and will lead corporate financial analysis, tax coordination and treasury functions in his new role.
The appointments place both executives in key positions supporting the company’s financial operations and its relationships with institutional investors, capital partners and property tenants.
Becknell is a national developer, investor and manager of industrial real estate. Founded in 1990, the company operates from offices in Charlotte, Chicago, Indianapolis, Miami and San Diego.
The company said its portfolio includes more than 250 acquired or developed industrial buildings totaling more than 41 million square feet, with approximately $4.5 billion in capitalization.
The leadership changes come as industrial developers continue to navigate capital costs, tenant demand, construction expenses and financing conditions. For owners and developers, stronger accounting, treasury and financial reporting capabilities can play an important role in managing development pipelines, joint ventures and capital commitments.
The appointments highlight how industrial real estate companies are strengthening internal financial leadership alongside portfolio expansion. For contractors and construction partners, financially disciplined ownership can influence project financing, development schedules, procurement decisions and the ability to advance new industrial construction.
