To keep pace, several key projects are already underway, including new parking facilities, TSA lanes, retail outlets, and an upcoming seven-story car rental center set for 2026. A major renovation of Concourse A is expected to begin in 2027, adding up to 10 new gates.

Rebecca Hupp, Boise Airport Director, emphasized the importance of these expansions, saying, “The BOI upgrade projects are all intended to right-size the airport to grow in pace with our community and meet the needs of the traveling public.”

The airport’s expansion plan includes additions to the airport’s infrastructure, including larger parking lots and a new cellphone waiting area to handle the increased passenger volume. This comes as part of efforts to make the airport more convenient and accessible, particularly with the addition of over 1,100 new parking spots and the expansion of TSA lanes to ease congestion.

As demand for air travel continues to grow, Boise Airport is committed to providing a seamless and positive travel experience for both local residents and visitors. “We are focused on maintaining everything passengers love about the Boise Airport, ensuring that it creates a positive image and reflection of our community,” said Hupp. The upgrades and additions will ensure the airport continues to be a critical gateway for travel in the region.
