Boldt Expands Renewable Energy Operations Leadership

The Boldt Company has promoted Jason Fields to construction operations manager for its renewable energy business, adding experienced project leadership to a market facing continued demand for new power generation and infrastructure.

Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, Fields will work with project teams, safety leaders and senior management to oversee execution of Boldt's renewable energy projects. His responsibilities include supporting safe project delivery, schedule performance, budget control and quality while following the company's operating procedures.

Fields will also serve as a connection between field operations, corporate teams and customers. The role is intended to improve coordination among project stakeholders as renewable energy construction programs become increasingly complex.

Fields has more than 20 years of construction industry experience. He has spent the past three years with Boldt, where he previously worked as a project executive.

Renewable Energy Projects Increase Demand for Experienced Leadership

The appointment comes as renewable energy construction requires contractors to manage increasingly complex project schedules, specialized scopes, safety requirements and coordination among owners, designers, suppliers and field crews.

Experienced operations leaders can play an important role in maintaining consistency across projects, particularly when contractors are managing multiple renewable energy developments across different locations. Strong connections between field teams and corporate management can also help contractors address procurement, labor, safety and scheduling issues before they affect project delivery.

Fields holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Northern Arizona University. His background combines field and project management experience with responsibility for coordinating construction operations.

For construction owners and developers, the move highlights the importance of experienced operational leadership as renewable energy projects expand in scale and complexity. Contractors with established processes and personnel capable of coordinating field execution, safety and commercial performance will remain important partners as investment in power infrastructure continues.
