ROUND ROCK, Texas — Brasfield & Gorrie has completed construction of a major expansion at Ascension Seton Williamson, adding hospital capacity and specialty-care infrastructure to serve continued population growth in Williamson County. The $230 million investment is scheduled to welcome its first patient Sept. 1.
The new patient tower adds 96 inpatient beds, along with a 10-bed Clinical Decision Unit designed to support observation care and patient transitions. The facility also includes a new cardiac catheterization lab and two operating suites intended to expand surgical capacity and help address patient demand.
The project includes additional CT, MRI and X-ray capabilities, expanding the hospital's diagnostic infrastructure. A 33,000-square-foot expansion of the Medical Office Building adds space for outpatient services including cardiac rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation and a lymphedema clinic, along with upgraded cardiology offices.
The expansion is part of a broader effort to increase healthcare capacity in Williamson County, one of Central Texas' fastest-growing areas. Brasfield & Gorrie served as general contractor for the project, which follows the company's earlier work on the hospital's bed tower.
For healthcare contractors and developers, the project illustrates the continued demand for phased hospital expansions that combine new inpatient capacity with specialized clinical spaces, advanced imaging and outpatient services. Such projects require coordination across active healthcare environments while integrating new infrastructure with existing facilities.
The completed expansion adds capacity while positioning the campus to accommodate future healthcare demand in the rapidly growing Central Texas market.
