Awards Recognize Multifamily Operations and Leadership

Strong property operations remain critical to maintaining resident satisfaction and asset performance across the multifamily sector. Breeden Property Management received 10 honors at the Virginia Apartment Management Association’s 2026 Hampton Roads ACE Awards, recognizing professionals and communities across its portfolio.

The awards covered maintenance, leasing, regional leadership, amenities, landscaping and community performance. Individual recipients included Yajaira Rivera of The Lofts at Front Street, Kate Mercado of Pinewell Station, Alex Horst of Ascend at Hilltop, Tahlik Green of Townes at Jones Run and Regional Maintenance Director Billy Daughtrey.

Multiple Communities Receive Industry Recognition

Several Breeden-managed properties also received community-level awards. The Pinnacle on 31st Street in Virginia Beach was recognized for its amenity package, while The MARQ at Virginia Beach received an award for mid-rise/high-rise landscaping.

Townes at Jones Run in Newport News earned Community Team of the Year honors for properties with 300 or more units. The Lofts at Front Street in Norfolk received Maintenance Team of the Year recognition for communities with 200 to 299 units.

Avant at Huntington Pointe in Newport News was named Community of the Year in the average-rent category of $2,081 to $2,350.

The range of awards reflects the operational functions required to manage multifamily properties, from maintenance and leasing to resident services, amenities and community upkeep.
