Minnesota-based workers’ compensation provider The Builders Group (TBG) has officially gone live with Insurity’s Workers’ Comp Suite, marking a significant step toward digital transformation in its insurance operations.
The announcement was made by Insurity, a leading provider of cloud-based software solutions for property and casualty (P&C) insurance carriers, brokers, and managing general agents (MGAs). According to the companies, the successful implementation will help TBG enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery for thousands of policyholders across Minnesota’s construction sector.

“Going live on Insurity’s Workers’ Comp Suite is an important milestone for TBG as we work to modernize and streamline our operations,” said Joe Sherman, Director of IT at TBG.
The move enables TBG to digitize its end-to-end workers’ compensation processes, reducing reliance on manual systems, increasing automation, and improving responsiveness. The Workers’ Comp Suite provides TBG with a comprehensive set of tools that support claims management, policy administration, billing, and compliance—all essential components of the organization’s service model.
TBG’s adoption of Insurity’s platform aligns it with more than 500 insurers and MGAs across the country that are currently leveraging Insurity’s technology to modernize operations and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving insurance landscape.
As a self-insured workers’ compensation fund, The Builders Group plays a critical role in safeguarding Minnesota’s construction workforce. It currently provides coverage to over 38,000 workers across the state, specializing in risk management and tailored insurance solutions for contractors and trades professionals.
TBG’s decision to implement Insurity’s suite reflects broader industry trends, where insurers are investing in technology to enhance customer experience, reduce administrative costs, and maintain regulatory compliance.
With this successful deployment, TBG is positioned to respond more rapidly to claims, simplify reporting, and support its growing network of policyholders more effectively.
