The global equipment manufacturer is using the industry event to highlight new digital tools, AI-powered capabilities, autonomous equipment and connected fleet solutions designed to simplify operations and improve decision-making for contractors and equipment owners.

“As jobsites become more complex, we’re rapidly innovating to simplify how our customers operate and grow — at any scale,” said Caterpillar CEO Joe Creed. “This week, we’re demonstrating how a single platform connects the entire operation — empowering customers with AI and autonomy, redefining service and investing in the people doing the work every day.”

Executives will further discuss the company’s technology strategy during the Ground Breakers keynote session, where Construction Industries Group President Rod Shurman, Chief Technology Officer Jaime Mineart and Chief Digital Officer Ogi Redzic will outline how Caterpillar is addressing industry challenges and shaping the future of construction operations.

“Caterpillar is focused on the challenges customers are dealing with right now: labor, safety and productivity,” said Shurman. “From AI and autonomy in action to full-fleet connectivity to services commitments, everything we’re showing is built to work where and when customers need it most whether it's on the job, in the shop or at the office.”

Operator Stadium demonstrations highlight autonomous equipment

A centerpiece of Caterpillar’s presence at the show is the large outdoor Operator Stadium demonstration area, where visitors can watch skilled operators test equipment and technologies in real-world construction scenarios.

The 70,000-square-foot exhibition space hosts live demonstrations that allow attendees to experience Caterpillar technologies, rental services and equipment innovations firsthand.

Among the demonstrations is the autonomous Cat CS12 soil compactor, which represents one of the company’s steps toward expanded automation and remote operation on jobsites. Caterpillar is also presenting Collision Mitigation technology, part of the Cat Detect safety portfolio designed to improve jobsite awareness and reduce potential accidents.

The demonstrations showcase how emerging automation systems are transforming construction operations by allowing machines to perform repetitive tasks with greater precision while enabling operators to monitor equipment remotely.

Digital tools and connected fleet management solutions

Caterpillar is also emphasizing digital innovation through tools designed to help contractors manage equipment fleets more efficiently.

One of the featured technologies is Cat AI Assistant, which helps equipment operators and managers interact with machines and digital platforms using AI-powered insights and recommendations. The system is designed to simplify complex equipment data and help teams make faster operational decisions.

The company is also highlighting its collaboration with Geotab Inc., which integrates highway fleet data into the VisionLink platform. VisionLink allows contractors to manage mixed fleets of equipment — including both Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar machines — through a single connected system.

By combining on-highway and off-highway equipment information, the platform helps improve equipment uptime, productivity, safety and compliance while reducing operational costs.

New services and solutions for contractors

Caterpillar is introducing new programs and services aimed at making equipment ownership and rental easier for contractors.

One new initiative, Cat Compact, is designed to simplify how smaller contractors purchase, rent and maintain compact equipment. The program combines online research tools with support from Caterpillar’s dealer network, helping contractors quickly find and manage equipment suited to their projects.

The company is also expanding its Cat Rentals platform with updated digital capabilities that allow customers to locate, manage and monitor rental equipment more efficiently as project demands grow.

Additional customer programs being introduced include enhanced rewards and financing options through Cat Rewards and the Cat Commercial Account. Caterpillar has also updated its Services Commitment program, which offers next-day parts delivery, two-day repairs and Cat Credits when service commitments are not met.
