Clark Hill Welcomes Stephen Wright & Jeffrey Nix to Construction Practice

ATLANTA, GA – Clark Hill has strengthened its national Construction group with the addition of Stephen Wright and Jeffrey Nix as Members in the firm’s Atlanta office. Both attorneys bring extensive experience representing owners, general contractors, and specialty trade contractors in all aspects of construction law, from contract drafting and project delivery system selection to dispute resolution and appellate matters.

“The breadth of the practice groups and depth of talent nationally really made Clark Hill attractive to us,” Wright said. “We’ve been working with many clients who want more help from us outside of construction work, and Clark Hill will be able to provide tremendous service to them.”
Wright and Nix’s client roster spans commercial and industrial projects nationwide, including national architecture firms, robotics and automation companies, universities, and property owners. Their expertise covers large-scale infrastructure developments, complex commercial builds, and specialized industry projects.
“I needed to join a national construction group to truly support my practice, and Clark Hill offers that and much more,” Nix said. “It feels like a natural fit here, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with our new colleagues on a wide range of matters.”
Beyond their professional work, both attorneys have longstanding commitments to community service.
Nix maintains an active pro bono practice, serving as a board member for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and Atlanta Legal Aid. His work supports veterans’ affairs, wills for cancer patients, and eviction defense cases. He is also engaged with Leadership Atlanta, the Associated General Contractors, and the Associated Builders and Contractors.

Wright is recognized for his role as a panel member for large and complex construction matters with the American Arbitration Association. He has served as an officer for the Atlanta International Arbitration Association, advised independent schools, supported his church community, and contributed to the Associated General Contractors and American Council of Engineering Companies, even representing them before the Georgia Supreme Court.
“We’re delighted to have Stephen and Jeff on board to grow our construction footprint in Atlanta,” said Allison Castillo, Clark Hill’s construction business unit director. “While their experience and knowledge in the construction sector will be a great asset to our team, we’re also excited to be adding two individuals who use their legal skills to support others in their community.”
The addition of Wright and Nix reflects Clark Hill’s continued strategy to deepen its construction law capabilities nationwide. With over 650 attorneys across 27 offices, the firm’s integrated approach allows clients in construction, engineering, and development sectors to access comprehensive legal solutions covering contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific challenges.
The pair’s joining comes at a time of rapid growth in the Southeast’s construction industry, where demand for large-scale infrastructure, mixed-use developments, and specialized industrial projects continues to rise. Clark Hill aims to position itself as a leading legal partner for clients navigating this evolving landscape.
