INDIANAPOLIS, May 28, 2025 — Comcast has officially begun construction on a new next-generation internet network across several Indiana counties including Fayette, Rush, Delaware, Boone, Shelby, Morgan, and Miami. This project will bring high-speed broadband access to over 10,000 residents and businesses, offering the full range of Comcast’s Xfinity and Comcast Business services such as built-in cybersecurity, affordable internet plans, and diverse video entertainment options.

The telecommunications giant has invested more than $80 billion nationwide in the past decade to enhance and expand its fiber-rich network infrastructure. Within Indiana alone, Comcast has committed nearly $600 million over the last three years to improve connectivity statewide.

This initiative is part of a significant joint investment alongside the State of Indiana’s Next Level Connections Broadband Grant Program, which has dedicated $350 million to expanding broadband access and adoption throughout the state.

Comcast’s network in Indiana boasts more than 49,000 miles of fiber, enabling internet speeds faster than a gigabit for residential and business customers alike. The company also operates over 65,500 WiFi hotspots throughout the state, supporting connectivity on the go for Hoosiers.
