Construction Begins on Bay City's New Community Health Center

BAY CITY, MI – Construction has begun on the new Great Lakes Bay Health Centers (GLBHC) community health center in Uptown Bay City, which will consolidate services from several existing local facilities.
The new Great Lakes Bay Health Centers – Bayside, located at 102 E. Main St., will bring together services previously offered at Bayside, Women’s Care Bay City, and Bay City South, according to a recent news release.
“Great Lakes Bay Health Centers’ vision is to change lives because we care,” said Brenda M. W. Coughlin, President/CEO of GLBHC. “The largest barrier to excellent health care for our patients is transportation. By bringing essential services into one convenient location, we can make it easier for individuals and families to access the care they need.”
The Bayside facility will be equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and staffed by a team of highly trained professionals committed to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care, according to the organization’s release.
Developed by Shaheen Development, the four-story health center is slated to open in spring 2026.
