Fred J. (Jule) Smith, III, President and CEO of Construction Partners, emphasized, “This acquisition is a strategic move that significantly broadens our operations in the Mobile metro area. With Mobile Asphalt Company’s well-positioned plants and expert workforce, we anticipate enhancing our already strong operations. We are also excited to leverage the economic growth driven by the Port of Mobile and the development along Alabama's Gulf Coast. We expect the company to continue as a new division within our Alabama platform, Wiregrass Construction, while preserving Mobile Asphalt’s established reputation for quality service.”

The acquisition marks an important step following the company’s initial entry into the region last September with the purchase of John G. Walton Construction. This move further consolidates Construction Partners' strategy of growing its footprint in key markets with expanding infrastructure needs.
