The HD Construction Equipment (HDCE) Real Operation Center (ROC) replaces Develon’s previous testing and training site and is located adjacent to Tucson International Airport. The facility is designed to support equipment training on advanced technologies, real-world machine testing, and dealer and customer engagement events.

Suwanee, Georgia-based Develon said the new site provides a larger, more versatile environment where operators, sales teams and customers can evaluate both current and new heavy and compact equipment under realistic jobsite conditions.

“For the past 15 years at our former facility, we hosted thousands of construction equipment owners, operators and dealer representatives for hands-on training, product testing and special events,” says Morgan Stallings, Develon senior director of dealer development and marketing. “The new facility will build upon its success and support our North American dealers. It will have acres of open operation area where visitors can come year-round to see and feel what makes Develon machines different from other brands.”

Develon broke ground on the Tucson site in October 2025, and the company plans further expansion. While the HDCE ROC is already operational, a permanent building is planned that will add classroom space and dedicated service bays. According to the company, the future buildout will allow operators and dealer personnel to combine classroom instruction with field demonstrations and hands-on maintenance training.

At the facility, visitors will work directly with Develon subject matter experts, who will explain machine differences, highlight key features, and demonstrate proprietary technologies. These include the company’s Transparent Bucket system and around view monitor (AVM) camera system, which are designed to improve operator visibility and jobsite safety.

Dealers say the new center strengthens their ability to evaluate equipment and build customer confidence.

“The training facility plays a key role in what we do,” says Armand Cencetti, vice president of sales at Best Line Equipment. “It helps our sales team get hands-on equipment experience and gives us a place to test machines and gather real data. And it lets us bring in customers to see and demo Develon equipment in person—building stronger, long-standing relationships along the way.”

Develon said the Tucson location’s climate and proximity to transportation infrastructure make it well suited for year-round training and testing, positioning the HDCE ROC as a central hub for dealer development, customer education and product evaluation across North America.
